Best Reliable Coffee Grinder You Can Buy

I have three of these. Bought one brand new and bought my neighbor's who moved and could not cart it but had bought a second as love this grinder so much I thought I better buy a second just in case first one wore out or went bad part wise. Then third I grabbed neighbors as she nearly gave it to me and thought I wish I had known I would have a free backup naturally before bought the second new one. Well, I am still using the original first bought one. It is superb. I grind my coffee beans every morning. I have lost track of how many years I have had it but I do know my coffee maker has changed manufacturing style, on second style same manufacture coffee maker, but third coffee maker, but still on the very first Burr Grinder KitchenAid manufactured. The grinder blade thankfully is still working and has not been replaced even and I use it everyday once. I absolutely hope KitchenAid will never change one manufacturing item of this grinder. It is super. PS: I still will keep my backup ones as price has gone up a little bit on new ones and I feel so secure knowing I have a top of line coffee grinder that lasts for years too. They are valuable items.

Like the mixer, the grinder is a very well made appliance. The storage dish and collection bowl are both glass and the plastic on the knob feels sturdy. There are many grind settings from coarse to fine and finding one that works for me wss easy. I use a French press and find that some beans grind different than others so a quick turn of the knob in front let's me make a change easy. The switch is also heavy duty and feels well built. It does make some noise when on so I wouldn't expect to be stealthy in the mornings and not wake people up. You know it's on and when the house is dead quiet, others will too depending I the size and layout of your house. It's not excessive, but it doesn't whisper. Cleanup is easy and the collection dish doesn't hold any static as far as I can tell. It's not cheap, but it is a quality piece you can count on to last for years to come.

One of the best grinders for the cost

I love this grinder. I've had it for a little over 2 months. It has consistent grinds on any dial (corse and fine). I have ground for french press, pour over, and espresso and it pulled great for all brew methods. The noise is loud, but that's going to be the same for most burr grinders.

Grinds collecting jar

I broke my grinds jar.I found the 4 cup MR. Coffee, coffee pot is a perfect fit under the grinder.They are tempered glass so they won't break as easy. You can find these at flea mkts. and garage sales for under $5 works great. For a tighter fit I put a drink coaster under the pot for a tighter seal. (the cardboard kind they put out at bars and restaurants) Use 2 if you get thin ones.

Great looking, well built, rugged grinder.

Been wanting this coffee grinder for a number of years, I'm pretty happy with it so far, it works quite well. Its rugged, nicely designed and quality built. I'm hoping it will last for a very long time. It's also a very good looking appliance. It's definitely far superior to the 50-60 dollar cheaper ones I have been using for a number of years. I'm fairly certain it will be doing its job for a very long time.
