I consider myself a very picky coffee drinker. It must be fresh never to sit on a burner or warmer. I grind it for my 'big' cup every morning. This grinder will not disappoint. It's less noisy than others I've owned and it's built to last.

Adjustable Settings are Great

I've had the grinder for 3 years and love the adjustable settings. I've found that different beans taste best at different settings. I can make coffee at home that is better than Starbucks, at least to my taste buds. The finer the grind, the more bitterness it brings out in the beans. Some beans are bitter already, so dial grind more coarse. Some cheaper or less fresh beans don't taste that good, so grind finer and add a little cream. The glass holder minimizes how the finer grinds tend to stick to the container because of static electricity.

Bought this two weeks ago. Using it daily for french press. Excellent grinder and noise level is comparably lower than others I have owned, albeit no grinder is quiet.

A Reliable Workhorse

I have had mine for a couple of years and love it. Very cool style and heavy. It is a beast. However, it is a little noisy but less noisy then the typical hand held grinders with blades. My cleaning lady finally broke the glass jar today. Not sure what to do about that.
