[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent grinder - the only issue is spilled coffee when the receiving cup is removed. Otherwise grinds to just the right consistency for an excellent cuppa.

The unit looks cool and is built like a tank. Unfortunately, the grinds are very inconsistent with too many fines which can make the coffee taste over extracted if enough contact time is allowed to bring out the good flavors and body. In my opinion, kitchenaid would drastically improve this unit by simply using higher quality burrs with sharper cutting edges which would cut through the beans and produce a cleaner grind.Other than that....this unit is great and worth the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second KitchenAid burr grinder we have bought in the last 15 years. Sadly, the first one just gave out. we looked at others on the marketplace some less expensive, some more expensive, but this was the best by far. we had the dark gray color before but decided to go with the red this time. Beautiful!

Great quality coffee grinder but messy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this grinder for a few days, and my initial impression is that the burr grinder produces an excellent coarse grind for use with a Keurig reusable pod. It’s also much quieter than the grinders in coffee stores. The only disadvantage is that it’s very messy to use. Coffee grinds wind up all over the kitchen counter, even when I very carefully keep the collection container aligned with the grinder casing.

We do very high volume grinding and it is fast and perfect grind. It is not exceptionally quiet but for short time of use that isn't much of a problem. It does however bind up every so often and has to be taken apart to clean. For the price, I expected perfection, so I was a little disappointed the first time this happened in less than a month from ownership. It is really nice looking in the kitchen and goes well with my other Kitchenaid appliances.
