[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The water pump on mine stopped working and KitchenAid said that they can't repair it. Then they said because of the machines age they can only give me $90 for it. So I get $90 and they get a machine that they will easily refurbish or use all of the functioning parts from and sell for hundreds. Definitely the last KA product that I will ever buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing

I bought this a few weeks ago for Christmas and the performance is terrible. Using either the single or double filters, results in espresso spritzing all over my kitchen. i"m using very high quality coffee and varied grind size, tamp force, heating times. Nothing works. I'm trying to return now and their warranty service is a catastrophe , endless waiting times. Avoid at all costs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, a good machine. This is my second one, for a second home. I was dismayed to find that the water coming out of this one tasted like 70% rubber and 30% wet dog. Am still trying to use decalcifier and hoping for the best, but so far, no luck. :(
The only other thing about this machine that isn't perfect (aside from the rubber taste) is that the milk steamer could be a little beefier. It runs out of steam now and then.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had an espresso maker now for 10 years. A few ups mand downs which kitchen aid have always looked after. This is a machine that you should own in your life time. Makes the finest coffee you could ask for providing you use the finest coffee, bean or ground you can afford (Illy will suffice). Keep making this classic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Espresso/Cappuccino machine and it works great. The only complaint I have is the boiler for the Espresso doesn’t stay at the ready to brew range for very long...it loses temperature quickly.
