I'm coming from the s8+ and I gotta say this phone is great. Why its reviews are so mixed I have no idea. Maybe expectations are a bit high. Which is understandable giving that the phone is fairly expensive. But it's worth every penny. Yes there is a giant bezel in the center when it's open. That's like my only grip though. The two 1080p screens are plenty pretty enough. The processor is also very fast giving that it's a couple years behind and the battery lasts me a full day worth of use. I really hope zte makes a gen 2 because this phone is unique and different in a sea of phones that are mostly just carbon copies. Phones just improve in terms of processing power, camera, screen resolution and battery. So it's about time a company decided to try something different. Thank you zte for making a phone that stands out above the crowd and does everything it needs to do very well.

Definitely One of a Kind!

With multitasking (and short attention spans) on the rise, I believe the ZTE Axon is the direction that cell phones will be heading in the future. It is a gorgeous phone (a little heavier than expected) that is incredible multi-functional. It is also sturdier that I anticipated, but the tempered glass on both sides is a life saver! Video and sound on it are amazing and (so far) is hands down the best phone I have ever had!

I just unboxed this phone today, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations! Love the dual-screen functionality and the processor, while a generation behind, is quick. This should be the template for all future phones going forward. Let's see the big boys top this!

Cool idea.. needs a lot of work

I bought this phone when it was half priced thinking it looked cool and if nothing else we could have it as a spare if one of our other phones broke...but I ended up returning it pretty quickly. Even if the only use the phone saw between the morning alarm at 8 am was 5-10 text messages.. single screen..all other apps closed.. it was still dead by lunch. Just turning on the screen dropped the battery 3% I was told the phone must be defective.. I sure hope that was the case.
Dual screen sounds cool.. but there are no apps that support it other than YouTube. Not even Netflix!! And watching YouTube was painful with the line down the center of the two screens especially since the color wasn't the same on both screens and they were ever so slightly misaligned. The whole time I was watching videos my brain was screaming the colors dont match!!! her face is lopsided!! Ouvh!! this thing is burning my fingers!! Wow! Where did my battery charge go :(

Flashlight.. now I use my phones flash a lot for a light so when the light function wasn't easy to find I went looking. And it wasn't really buried that deep but it was in settings... why would a flashlight be a setting? Maybe because it was super impractical. You hit the on switch and there is a pop up.. hey dummy dont look directly at the light. It can blind you. No duh... click ok and suddenly you can feel the heat coming from the light and it is really bright..and pointed at your face because you were just searching for the function... so now you are blind and fumbling around for a way to turn it off before you get permanent retina damage. But guess what? There is a 1000 watts blinding you as you try to find the off switch on the screen
Not to mention it is super uncomfortable to hold. :-( the corners dig into your hands.. its heavy.. and the slipperiest thing I have ever tried to hold. Even moist hands it just slides right out. Lay it on a flat surface..that is safe right? Maybe for a second but then it's on the floor.
Cool idea.. terrible execution.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my phone for 2 months now and I love it !!! My battery last all day for me and I love how I can expand my screen when I'm looking at my Netflix or Videos. And people always want to see it and amazed at the two screens. I registered it with ZTEUSA and received a free cover. I like different and get a kick out this phone.
