Absolutely love this phone.

Great phone. Multitasking is great. Video with both screens are great. Mirror mode is great. The only thing that would make it better was having 2 cameras instead of 1. This phone is not for people who hate adapting to different settings and who love taking sceneary photos. Has a great selfie Camera but not good for wide angle or focused camera shots. Phone battery is 5 out of 5. I love the fact that it lasts me all day and only takes about an hour to hour and a half to charge. Love that it comes with an adapter for micro USB. Love that the quality of the screen and how fast the phone operates. Zte did a great job and everyone always asks me about my phone. Which is sweet. Because they are shocked it was made by zte and for the price. I rate the phone 5 out of 5 for performance and overall. 3 out of 5 for camera. Buy the phone if you constantly use tablet for multi tasking. It is very useful for gaming and doing a budget for the A and B screen functionality. I love my purchase and recommend it. Don't let the reviews confuse you. It's a good phone, just not good for pictures except for selfies.

Not quite ready for prime time

The phone is awkward to use. Having the only camera located facing you requires the software to turn off the front screen and turn on the back screen is too laggy. Apps don't really conform to the two screen layout well. And having that middle bezzle between the screen makes the view-ability, well awkward. There's a lot more bugs also. Good resolution though. So there's that.

Move over iPhone and Galaxy, 2 screens only

This has to be the best phone I have purchased in years. It just works, really it does. The screens are beautiful and the hinge is solid. Apps are fast and the snapdragon 821 is just fine for this phone. Very snappy. Multitasking relevant on 2 screens whereas the old way of sharing 1 screen just can't compete. Samsung and Apple better be taking notes here from ZTE and making some 2 screen flagship models soon otherwise they are truly in for some losses soon. Ill call it here by saying the future of all phones will be foldable/multi screen and ZTE has made a marvelous Android version of this. Makes me feel like he future is here. Get one now and don't pay attention to the false negative reviews because they just must be seeing a different phone than I am here.
Some things they could add..... iR blaster, alternate power button placement on top perhaps. Next versions let's increase the CPU and put amoleds on it. But seriously this current phone will definitely do for the time being. Thank you ZTE

ZTE Axon M

At first when I got this phone I thought it was cool and different. I regret purchasing it. Too heavy. No screen protectors fit this well and no cases even a year later to protect the phone. So I barely use the phone in fear of dropping it. I hate the camera it pops on all the time and the pictures absolutely suck. I miss my Samsung Galaxy note

Best Phone I've Ever Used

This phone is amazing. If you tell the settings to have all software use the double screens, it does! All software works beautifully with it. It is fast as can be. The camera is fine but I'm a professional photographer so that isn't a big issue for me. The sound quality is very good. Battery life with the double screen is sometimes short, and the phone can get a little warm after doing as bunch of updates by itself, but a reboot cools it off nicely. A fast charger will charge it from 0% to 100% in less than an hour. Forget the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. Get this phone!

A year later...

This phone is absolutely horrible, I wish I would have stayed away from the design! Ugh, Im so mad at myself that I got excited for 2 screens when there's really nothing you can do with them... Want to watch a video and scroll through your social media, good luck scrolling down without pausing your video.

I both Love and Hate the Axon M
on January 21, 2018

This phone is my daily driver and I both love and hate it. The WOW factor you get when you open up that second screen in front of people is super fun (if you're single and want to mingle this phone is better than a puppy!). The multi-tasking on two screens is the reason I bought the phone. I dropped my Pixel like a hot potato for this feature. I'm a Realtor and work demands that I use phone and tablet often at the same time. The Axon M makes that so easy and is a huge time saver for me. I love love love that feature and I'm putting up with a ton of poor qualities to enjoy it. Battery life makes you feel like you're back in the 90's running around looking for a place to charge your phone. It pauses occassionally under a moderate load and you have to close apps or are forced to restart the phone (about every 2-3 days). The learning curve with the camera is really rough and you'll fumble around with it over and over before you finally bend to it's will and keep fingers on the edge (which is slippery). That's not the worst part....the phone overheats after several pictures. I take 50-100 photos of every house I list and I'm lucky to get 10 shots in before it overheats. Then I'm waiting 10 minutes for it to cool down and take 10 more (I'm in Michigan and it's freezing now, so summer I might have to actually buy a digital camera). Plus the camera takes ho-hum pictures, not as clean and in focus as I would like. Granted I came from using a Pixel and it's camera rocks, so I may be overly critical here. The other really annoying thing is that because it's all screen and slippery you clamp onto it, otherwise you're dropping it all the time (I must say it is very durable with the screen savers on it) now because you've got your fingers on it all the time you're moving icons around, sometimes right off the screen and you have to go find them and move them back. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my settings icon back on the my main screen. It's exhusting to own this phone, but the novelty hasn't worn off on me yet and I'm 2 months in.
