Sorry Bronco's wasn't available for my phone but love the purple too. I work with children with special needs and my phone takes a beating. Otter cases have protected every work phone I've owned so it is the only one I considered when i finally got my own phone.

Yes it protects the phone quite well and I have a fairly good experience with the Defender series but in this case the buttons on the side are quite harder to press. Also, with time, all my defender series, the rubber protection gets looser and stops being completely flush agains the plastic one around the corners

We're sorry to see that this Defender series doesn't seem to be holding up as expected! Although the side buttons on a brand-new case can sometimes be a little stiff at first, they do tend to relax after consistent use. Just give them some time, and they should start feeling more comfortable!
As for the rubber, occasionally after a long era of protecting your phone it can start to look a little worn out. Luckily, for these situations, we have an awesome warranty in place! Just give our wonderful Otters a call at 1-855-688-7269, and they'll be more than happy to further assist you with a claim!
