I am a true believer in the otter box case.This is my third one It does a great job of protection as i am in a mfg environment. Dirty, rough, no mercy. I have never had a damaged phone yet. This latest one seems to be even more durable. The Black surround is a tougher compound. Should last longer than the previous soft rubber.

This case fits perfect. There is no gap or poor fit between the glass screen and the case screen protector as one reviewer suspects. The I-Phone 7 'home button' responds to your press giving you touch feedback with a 'pulse' (haptic) which you can feel and mistake (as I also did initially) as a poor fit. This pulse feedback is adjustable in steps 1, 2, or 3 from weakest to strongest. Read all about the 'home button' for I-Phone 7 and about 'haptics'. Want more convincing? Turn the phone off and press the 'home button'.... no more gap between screen and protector, eh? No worries though because the people behind this product obviously will go all out to ensure we customers are satisfied. Please let us know in an update review how you make out. Sincerely.

Drop proof, not so much for dust

The case works great for drop protection. However, it's almost worse than no case when it comes to dust. If you spend anytime outside you constantly need to take the case apart to clear the dust from between the screen and cover. One of the biggest struggles is keeping the finger sensor clear of dust.
I'd shy away from dust protection in the future and just get a case for drop protection and then buy a stick on cover. I also know of other people with the same problem for this box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
