Otter Box Defender Touch ID Issue

I’d sensor stretches and comes un glued letting in dust and dirt. Also wrinkles causing in accurate finger print

Not what it seems

The lack of quality in this case was a big surprise. My old Defender saved my iPhone 5 from an entire year of abuse in a very bad climate. This new Defender cracked in three places shortly after purchase...I dropped it on it's corner on a rug over a wooden floor. For something that's supposed to protect my very expensive phone, I am impressed, badly. Also, the port covers don't fit well, but that doesn't matter since they've all fallen off. Badly done Otterbox.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Built like a TANK

I’ve had this case for the better part of 6 years, taking it from my previous iPhone to my current one. Of course, 6 years takes it toll, with accidental drops, fidgeting, and getting thrown by my little brother. Last year, I was involved in a major train derailment in Missouri. I got two busted knees, but that phone case took being launched and stepped on, and barely blinked! There’s one crack in the plastic, but my phone survived with only a scratched screen. OtterBox, whatever you’re doing, keep doing it! Just moved on to a new case (second one in 12 years), and I know it’ll last me ages
I have purchased the Defender Otterbox Cases for my iPhones, since I started purchasing these phones. I’ve never had a broken screen or problem using this case. I wear them out, but the definitely protect my delicate phone inside all the protective layers. I’ll never buy another case.
The rubber is soft and tears off with little use. So the charging port is not protected for long.

The Defender is very rugged - however, with this one it’s really had to push the iPhone buttons through the Defender case, especially the trash button on email, and to some extent the volume buttons (they don’t make good contact with the iPhone buttons. Never had these problems with older Defender boxes for older iPhone SE’s

Best case

My phone goes through it and tumbles on concrete and gets thrown across rooms and everything else. No crack ever formed best case for your phone.
