I actually meant to order the commuter but mistakenly got the defender. For me it’s a bit bulky but is very well built and sturdy. I recommend for folks who need extra protection for their phone

Purchased the defender for my iPhone6 never had a problem. When I upgraded phones there was not where to go with my case. The only thing that would have made a 5 star if if they had different colors. I really feel I settled on the color scheme.

Overall quite disappointed in the new Defender I bought.
I had an Otterbox Defender for my iPhone 5 and loved it. It was super strong yet pliable, felt great in my hand and buttons worked effortlessly beneath the cover despite its thick strong material.
Sadly lots has changed. The new Defender for my iPhone 8 has a much thinner cover around the phone. It's very hard, much less pliable and doesn't fell as comfortable in my hand. It's difficult to turn the phone on and off because the cover is more rigid than before. The inner plastic box is also of lesser quality, seems very cheaply made compared to the one for my previous phone.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it arrived fairly quickly. It’s in good condition and it works well with my iPhone. I don’t regret this purchase. My only complaint is that the screen protector smudges up too much, but other than that it’s fine.

I purchased the Apple SE 2020 case and it is a recycled IPhone 8 case. The Apple logo display circle is in the wrong place. The new logo is in the middle, but the display on the case is still at the top. Besides that, it is a good otterbox case.

Had an Otterbox on my IPhone 3, IPhone 5S, and most recently IPhone SE. Quality drop protection. Never had an issue. Only downside if you care about that sort of thing, is you can't see the Apple logo on the back of the phone.
