I absolutely love the defender. It's perfect if you have grandkids who always want to play on your phone. I have dropped it on the concrete garage floor many times. Protects my phone like a warrior. Beautiful colors too. Wouldn't have a phone without a defender!!!!

I bought the case a few weeks back and I have to say it protect my new iPhone well. Every holes is well place and the screen react well to touch command 99% of the time. The only thing I would suggest is to find other lighter, thinner materials to provide the same protection but with less bulk.

I love the great protection that the Otterbox affords but I clicking the home button is difficult if it works at all. Home button reads my fingerprints only with great difficulty.

That OtterBox is designed to be fully compatible with the fingerprint sensor on your device, so it's odd to hear that yours is causing some issues. If that feature is working well without the case on, we'd suggest going into your settings and adding additional fingerprints that you scan in with the case installed on the phone.
