The Defender case is solid. I've used the Defender for years on several phones and I've never experiences any damage to any of those phones. The seals to the openings are tight and the screen cover provides clarity for the screen and full touch screen functionality.

I wasn’t aware that it comes with a holster and a screen cover. The kit is difficult to take apart & searching for the proper video instructions for iPhone 8 was tricky. I needed to remove the cover twice after installation, which was only possible if you yank at the bottom tab which covers the recharge inlet. The cover is sturdy- I only trust Otter for phone protection.

I bought this case for my nephew who is handicapped on one hand and for him to hold it for a long time it got too heavy for him, I have to send it back. But otherwise it's a very nice case that gives alot of protection.
