I purchased the Defender Series Case and put it to use right away. Super easy to install. Well worth the wait on shipping and price! I work in a barn and last Friday I opened a gate and was hit by a 17.3 hh Thoroughbred. He knocked me in the air and I landed 5 feet away on my back. I jumped up to secure him. After the chaos was over I felt for my phone. It is normally in my back pocket, not this time. I had placed it in the front pocket of my flannel shirt. It too had taken flight and landed in MUD! After checking it over , NO breaks or scratches! It literally took a direct hit from a 1600 pound animal and worked! Did I mention I love the Big Sur color! EASY to find in mud! I am extremely pleased and perhaps Otterbox will sponsor my future barn stunts!

I bought this because I was tired of cracking the screen when I dropped my phone. Although case looks good and protects against damage, the touch screen is very thick, making it very difficult to get a response I have to jab/poke/press the screen numerous times hand have missed calls because of this problem.

Keep in mind, if you're using an additional screen protector on your device alongside the one built into your Defender Series case, that may have been causing those sensitivity issues. This is the fourth time I have purchased youor Otterbox and this is the third I phone i have used them on. And in the past the Otter Box has fit my phone correctly and snug. This time the new Otter Box does not exactly fit and I have to open the box to adjust the vlume on my phone and I really have to work hard to push the button.

70 mph proof

Yeah I’m a dummy. Left iPhone on top of my car. It stayed there till I hit the express way. When I got up to speed to merge I caught a glimpse of it in my rear view. I thought it was road debris. I got home, used Find my phone app and recruited my son. An hour later we found it in the median of a four lane. Rubber cover was 100 feet away with tire marks on it. iPhone had zero damage. Otterbox case was scuffed but intact. I’m a true believer.
