Always appreciate the durability of this case. Had one for my iPhone 6 for 5 years and it only showed signs of deteriorating in the last year. Never a screen crack or dent. This case can make it the life of your phone unless you drop it from an airplane. Probably doesn’t do well with that like any other phone.

I had purchased a Defender 4 years ago for my iPhone 6S and it worked well. Just bought another for my new iPhone SE2, so I'm expecting it to be great as well. Only thing is that it's really an iPhone 7/8 case so the Apple Logo in the middle of the SE2 no longer shows in the window. No big deal though.

I have purchased an otter box case for every iPhone I have owned, and this case stays true to the level of protection I have come to depend on. Working in the metal recycling business and constantly taking pictures of machine repairs and materials, this case let’s me relax knowing my phone is safe. The rubber outer shell provides a secure grip and the built in screen protector cleans up easily. The rubber shell does feel a little less pliable and soft than the previous versions, but it does not affect daily use.

I buy OtterBox cases for all the devices I own that they make them for. I've tried many different types of cases but they just don't hold up. Their cases are extremely well made and while adding a little bit of bulk to the device protects it and makes it look brand new years later. I've even had people blown away when I take my 3 year old phone out of it's case and it looks like I just purchased it.
The only con that I've ever had is the silicone covers tend to get deformed with age so they don't fit as well as the years go by. This is just a minor issue to me but is the only issue that I've ever had with any of my many MANY OtterBox cases.

I am replacing a purple OtterBox Defender Series Case after 3 years of faithful service. I spilled varnish on the screen and the thumb film finally wore out so I peeled it off myself. While I owned my purple box, I accidentally left my phone on the top of my car while in my garage and drove out into a heavy rainstorm. By the time I arrived at my destination, my phone was still on the roof of my car, held fast by the grip of the outer shell of the Defender case! I will be forever thankful for OtterBox cases! Note the Defender case is thicker and will not allow the phone to fit into small slots designed for thin or case-less phones. The rugged protection I have received is worth this negligible inconvenience. During those 3 years, my phone traveled with me internationally and on hiking trips all without incident. It was dropped into a toilet and the case kept my phone safe. My phone still looks brand new! My only wish is that OtterBox would come up with a replaceable plastic screen and thumb film, because my purple box is still in perfect condition! Still, I'm delighted with the sleek color combo (Big Sur) of my new box. Its quality appears to be the same as my previous box. I am keeping my purple box in case a replacement screen becomes available from OtterBox.
