The case is wonderfully designed—a hard encasing skeleton and then silicone around the edges—but those very features do not keep even a drop of water from getting through to the phone. Luckily, the iPhone is designed to be not just splash but waterproof, but it is nonetheless something that the user should know and keep in mind.

I bought this a month ago and have only one concern. The rubber cover that opens upward to access the charger is my concern in breaking off after a couple thousand openings and closings. That’s all!

I had a Otterbox cover for my first iPhone (a 5s) and found it to be the absolute best cover for protecting a smart phone of any kind from accidental damage. When I updated my iPhone to an SE there was no question I wanted an Otterbox cover for it. The SE is thinner than the 5s and more likely to be damaged so I got the Otterbox Defender for it. It is not the easiest one to install but once it is it's well protected from any accidental damage. I highly recommend Otterbox for any brand or model smartphone.

I will be replacing it. Very difficult, in fact physically painful to push side buttons through this case with SE3 unlike my defender otter box for IPhone 6.

Accidentally left phone on trunk and drove off. The phone stayed on the car for a time then flew off and landed on the side of the road about a mile from home. The case was hardly scratched at all and the phone is perfectly fine!! Wonderful case and thankful for it!

Great, solid case. Had one for the SE 1st Gen that served me well, bought another for my 3rd Gen and still my favorite case. But the opening around the camera/ear speaker doesn’t seal 100% and let’s dirt between the screen and screen cover on this version.
