This my second Otterbox purchase, and once again, I'm really happy with my case's great quality. Before getting this case I was replacing my phone screen every other month due to cracks and scratches. But not any more!
I've literally dropped my phone down flights of stairs, off a rockface, into the surf on a beach multiple times, and always: no damage!
While Otterbox don't make any claims about the case being waterproof, in my experience, it keeps out enough water so that if you drop it in something wet, in the time it takes to notice, scream, panic and finally fish it out, there is no damage,(but you might want to take off the case and dab round with a tissue to be sure.)
About taking off the case - I've read a couple of reviews complaining that the case is hard to take off- and it will be if you try with your fingernails. All you need is a small coin or blunt knife to lever the tabs round the edges, and you can have the case off in a few seconds. Not that you will need to do that very often.
To sum up- I love my Otterbox case, it gives me confidence to live my life to the full, knowing that my trusty phone will always be safe!
