I am a field technician and use my phone for my work. The Otterbox lets me do my job worry free...if I accidentally drop it, I know it’s protected. Spend the money for the Defender...it’ll save you hundreds to replace a broken phone!!

I had an otter box on my old phone that I had for 5 years, and my phone never got a scratch on it. I finally got a new phone, and of course I knew that I had to get an Otter Box for it! I loved my old case, but this one is amazing!!! It firs so snug on my phone, and I love the little lip that snaps into the hard shell to keep it in place. I absolutely love the color of both the hard shell and the soft one. It was cool that I got to pick the colors that I wanted. I love this case and highly recommend it!!

Easy to install on the smart phone. It envelopes the phone very well, to well. Discovered my four year old phone battery expanded, not revealed after I removed the case. The phone had a bulge for which the case held it together. People...the battery needs to be changed every two years. Open the case up to reveal the phone when the phone is about two years old. Replace your battery. But, awesome case. It does the job.

This second attempt at this my first positive review. The others have all been non-positive, but were never written to Otter-box. Microsoft thought it appropriate to decide to shut down my Win-7 system at their appropriate moment and I lost the most clever and well written review ever. I need to move on so please let it be known Otter-box covers was on the first I-phone, my second, my third, my fourth, and this one my I-8.
All were passed on to family members. All phones and cases were still very protective and attractive after their 2-3 years of rugged use. I usually get impatient with the slower delivery but can't see the extra cost for expedited shipping. Always worth the wait though.
