I loved this case when I first bought it and I still love that it feels unbreakable. But dirt gets inside very easily and it makes the screen look gross. Also Touch ID does not work with the case on. I tried changing my fingerprint and everything, doesn’t work at all with the case on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had Otterbox iPhone protective covers for many years. The only thing I don’t like about this one is that it is difficult to type as you have to press real hard to make it show up so I have to read everything I type to make sure all letters have appeared on the screen. I cannot type fast anymore because you have to make sure you have hit each letter or number hard enough for it to show up.
I do like the case and the clip on that comes with the case though.

Overall a sturdy case but it has some issues. Bought this for my husband and the Touch ID worked when he first put the case on his phone but after a couple days it stopped working. He also gets a lot of dust/dirt under the screen protector for some reason.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s a great case! I love the color, a brighter blue than I’d expected, but lovely. You can just tell it’s good quality when you fit it on the phone. It’s snug and perfect and while I never feel completely safe with throwing my phone on my bed when I get home, this is about as close as I’ll come to that. The defender is fantastic protection. Well, I’ve only had this one for a week now, but I’m expecting it to stand up to my expectations. Had my other defender (on the SE) for 4 years before the rubber flap over the headphone port came off, and even then the phone was still safe (not a scratch, and I work on a farm and have done all kinds of crazy things with it untouched). Here’s to the same great lifespan with this one!

I always buy Defender cases for my phone. Among other things, I train horses and work in a barn. I can't tell you how many times my phone as fallen out of my pocket while I'm schooling a horse in the arena or gets dropped on the cement floor of the tack room. My phone is always wonderfully protected by my Otterbox Defender case. Other friends (who use other cases or--gasp!--no case) have phones with cracked screens, but not me!

I was forced by Apple to buy a new phone with the latest update so as usual I bought an Otter Box to protect it . However the cheapest phone Apple offered was the 8 and i must say if you start with junk you end with junk. The Otter Box cover protects the phone well but operating the phone through the case and the screen was hit or miss.
I think it’s tome to go back to a flip phone !

Sometimes air may get trapped inside of your Defender when you first install it, and after each re-installation of your case. We suggest opening the charge port cover at the bottom of the OtterBox then press the front of your case firmly against your chest or thigh, with the palm of your hand on the back of the Defender. This will help squeeze out any trapped air! If this doesn't smooth things over, please give us a ring at 1-855-688-7269 and we can help you further!
