The Alpha Glass protector keeps the Note 8 screen protected from all damages but the top and bottom edges were left out and that is understandable. There are dots on this item and this doesn't damage your viewing on the phone unless too picky. Safety its number one and will provide extra protection with the other Otterbox items and give you peace of mind knowing your high end phone is protected.

After reading reviews, and having owned the Alpha Glass for my Note 5 I agree that the Note 8 version is subpar. It's not touch sensitive especially around the edges. I'm considering taking it off but that saddens me since I paid so much for it. Hopefully they'll revisit this version and make it better sooner rather than later.

I got this to go with my new Galaxy Note 8. It was really easy to put on. The edges didn't really adhere completely, though, especially at the top. I keep getting little hairs stuck there. It does hide smudges really well. I can't really tell when I'm looking right at it, only when I see it at an angle. My biggest issue, though, is it seems to have greatly decrease the sensitivity of the touch screen, more than I thought it would. Sometimes, instead o just tapping, I have to practically punch the screen to get it to do what I'm trying to do. It also seems to be really picky as to which finger I use. I usually scroll using my thumb, but often can't with this. I don't know if it's really worth the price it's sold at, but I guess if ti keeps my phone screen from getting all scratched up I'll keep it on for a while yet.

It was quite frustrating to use my phone with the screen protector because my phone couldn't register my touch in most places. I wanted to throw my phone against the wall... but instead I just removed the screen protector.

I’m not happy with the alpha glass because it takes away from the touch sensitivity of my note 8. I want something to protect my screen but it's terrible to try to navigate with. I’m very dissatisfied with this product. I have all ways bought Otter box but in this case I feel like it was a waist of my money.

The product does not fit the screen properly and lifts off. The biggest problem is the sensitivity is non existent, I can not type properly. Although I like the company, not this product design for this device.

After a few weeks, the screen stops responding. You have double or triple tap to get a response. Super inconvenient. I have had it for more than 2 weeks and the protection so far is good. It still takes away from the phone experience.
