Excellent support for an excellent device!

We have used the Joule for about 2 years now, on average maybe once or twice a month. Sous vide in general is definitely a game changer that makes life both easier and tastier at the same time. Despite the issues some reviewers have had with the connectivity of the device to app/bluetooth, we have not experienced that, save for a time or two where we had to do some app resetting and troubleshooting. The thing that made me write this review is that a few weeks ago, our device started to have issues with the motor not running (and saying as much in the app). We tried some troubleshooting on our own and brought it back to life a couple times but the issue persisted and finally we were not able to use it at all. Granted, our tap water is on the hard side and we had not been cleaning the device as is recommended, so I wasn't too surprised, but disappointed at the prospect of having to buy a new device. Even though we were pretty sure our product was out of warranty by now, we tried submitting a trouble ticket to ChefSteps. The support team got back to us by the next day and worked with us, going through recommended troubleshooting steps, and stayed in constant (email) contact until the issue was fully resolved so now we won't have to buy another device! Very happy with both the product and the support for the Joule!

Best ever!

I bought mine Jan 2017 (pre-Breville) after owning other brands (all too fat/huge; to slow to heat; also one with an induction hotplate). No Comparison! If - IF - this one ever breaks, I'd buy it again! This one is best-rated, including from America's Test Kitchen. Had some connection issues early on, but found out it was the fault of my ISP plus my Router was too slow (old). Fixed those and have had no issues since. BIG benefit being on my smartphone: set it from anywhere.

Easy to use

I’ve been using this for over a year and I love it. It’s easy to use and the app works great.
The Joule is the best Sous Vide cooker I've ever used. It's compact so it travels really well and very durable and easy to operate using the iPhone app.
Found this to be my preferred sous vide equipment at home, so much so, that I now own 3 units for big cooking gigs. My only problem is I'm having trouble using more than one at a time so far in the same kitchen at the same time, one always appears to be dominant if more than one unit is availible to the phone running the app.
We purchased our 4th Joule Sous vide circulator last month because we find they are the easiest to use and have held up under many years of use. We purchased our first one about 5 years ago and added a second one to be able to do multiple foods at the same time. We then purchased a 3rd Joule a couple years later to keep at our vacation home. This 4th Joule we will keep in our RV to reheat foods that we Sous vide cooked at home for our travels and to cook more food on longer trips. We often take one of the Joules on vacation with us (Hawaii, etc.) to use to cook meals!
