Absolutely one of the coolest…

Absolutely one of the coolest circulator on the market. They did their homework and really made it exactly what it needs to be. I love being able to use so little water to get it started so when you drop your bags off of food, there is no spillage. With so many other circulators you need so much water it's basically to the top of the container before adding anything into it. The joule takes up hardly any space at all. I did find the connecting/disconnecting rather annoying but they eventually updated it to make it much easier. I feel like they listen to what we want out of it and they make it happen. Thank you so much for this awesome tool!

Joule by Chefsteps is itself a very capable sous vide machine. The device is small and can do everything you expect of a sous vide. The pros and cons of the device have been stated in many other professional reviews but to summarize: pros - app interface, heating element power, magnetic base, physical size compared to other SV machines, amazon alexa controlable Cons - all app interface/no physical controls, more pricey than other models. Chef steps does provide recipes and tips for use, the recipes provided side toward restaraunt items with more novel ingredients and techniques but usually very delicious.

I love everything about this machine

I love everything about this machine, from its size, to its simplicity, to the great results! I've made approximately 15 different dishes, and they have all met or exceeded (usually exceeded) my expectations. I love it for larger items (whole leg of lamb - best I've ever had, standing rib roast - also fantastic, a rump roast that was not only a lovely rosy pink, but incredibly tender and not tough at all), especially around the holidays, as it frees up the oven for sides and keeping things warm, and I don't have to worry about the main dish being over or under cooked, or cold by the time you serve it. Can't recommend it enough!

Excellent product. Does what it is supposed to and does it really well. The app is brilliant and I like the way little details have been included. Feedback: It could be a touch longer for larger and deeper pots - not much just about maybe a couple of inches. Again, this is my preference. It does very well in the size it is already. The doneness view in the app can be improved by pointing out where to look. For new cooks, this can potentially help. Very well done guys. Get it to the non-US market soon. There is a huge demand for it. I had to get my Joule in the US and then buy a converter to use it in Germany where I live.

Wish I had heard of Sous Vide years ago!

Can't recall how I heard about Sous Vide but it has literally changed the way I cook and the opinions of those who have tasted the results. Family and friends complain I've ruined them, claiming they'll never have the same expectations of "fine dining" at a restaurant. I've never had a steak, pork chop or chicken breast even close to as flavorful, juicy and tender as those I now make at home for a fraction of the price. I own two Joules and love the features of the app, WiFi conectivity and video recipes. Now I can satisfy those who want steaks from medium rare to well done without even thinking about it and know it will be perfect every time.

They make good products

They make good products. I use my Joule every other night. All the recipes have come out perfect. I wish they would put out more recipes for veggies in the joule instead of having to go to other sites to find them. They haven't added new recipes to the Joule app in a while. They haven't added new videos on their YouTube channel, which I miss "fizzy fruit" was great. I would like to see cheese or tofu made with Joule in the app like Anova. The app and site works great, but it's seems abandoned. The have guest chef's come in, but nothing in house in a long while. Also very few things featuring their own products lately.

I was using my Joule on a long cook and it stop working and gave me an error on the app screen. I entered a customer service report though the joule app and they responded promptly and sent me a new one.
Glad I was able to find my electronic receipt from a couple of years ago.
I always heard about their good customer service and now have witnessed it first hand.
I would recommend this to a friend!
