The art of cooking is very intimidating to those who are not familiar with the kitchen environment. Joule helps build confidence and welcomes you into the kitchen in such a friendly way that it even inspires you to bring out your inner cooking capabilities that you didn't know you possessed. I've cooked for all of my friends with Joule and now they all own a Joule themselves. The time you save with Joule allows you to spend time with your loved ones or host a party without the worry about the dish. What makes Joule such a great product isn't just the product itself, but also the staff and team members behind the brand. The product is a reflection of team members and staff! Works better than advertised.

Works better than advertised. This is a powerful little Sous Vide that can. I have done 72-hour Short Ribs with demo-glacé with a cover on the canning pot and not even a hiccup. Steaks to veggies to fish to chicken thighs, the Joule has done perfect. Temp stays within .1 degree of the set tempurature. It also heats the water to temp faster than expected for its size. The one drawback that I read online was that it has to be controlled by an app on your phone. I totally disagree! With no contols on the wand it is waterproof. So, I use a large coated steel canning pot with a domed lid. The Joule sticks to the middle, or off center of a large pice of meat, and I can put the lid on and let it go! No adding water or needing plastic wrap. Easy-Peasy. I use my Joule a couple of times a week. Excellent kitchen tool at a very reasonable price.

Spot on for optimum cooking

I'm very pleased with my overall purchase . Consistently performs and spot on cook temperatures . Please keep enhancing the app with additional recipe options Enhancements to joules.... I do wish however there was a way to rotate the joules ones clamped and in a vessel. A pivot that you could turn the flow to the side of a vessel - in this case a round pot to allow circulation to whirlpool

We absolutely LOVE our Joule Sous Vide! We use it so much and our meat is perfect every time!!! We also love to use it for warming up leftover meat! Perfect every time!!!

Excellent Sous Vide Device - Great for beginners.

This device is well designed and small in footprint with a powerful magnet at the base. 1100 watts of power is great to heat the water fast and it's temperature accuracy is crazy good. The design makes it easy to clean especially if your water is a little hard. The app is good. The recipe and cooking time guidelines are very helpful for the beginner and a useful reminder for the more experienced. The only complaint I've had about the device (which may be the same with all sous vide cooking devices) is that if you lose power for just a few seconds, the cook process ends and you get an alert. No auto-restart option. I've "complained" about this and suggested to them that since the device communicates with the app and alerts you to the outage that it would be helpful to have the option to allow it to auto-start the cook. That way, if you lose power for 30 seconds at 2AM while in the middle of a 12-15 hour cook you don't lose your entire meal. Anyway, if you live in a place with reliable overnight power or if you only use it for short cooking, this device is THE BEST!!
