Joule is a superior product with superior customer service. This has made the sound vde experience easy, fun, and a family affair. The design is small, sleek and easy to store and travel with. I now have 2. I love my Joule!!

Good at maintaining temps

I think the product is performing as advertised, although the other day I poached 4 eggs and one turned out badly undercooked. More water needed? The issue is learning how to use it. I have much better luck with good cuts of meat and fish, which I can bring to an even temperature from top to bottom. I have had less luck with roasts of lesser cuts, as the temps used do not render the fat in the cuts. I will keep playing with it.

Easy to achieve perfection.

Works perfectly. App is especially easy to use and accurate. We use it regularly for meat, fish, and chicken. Nothing compares to the Filet Mignon prepared Sous vide and grilled over hardwood for two minutes per side for appearance and flavor.

I was excited to try this form of cooking at home! The ChefSteps Sous Vide does an excellent job: it comes to temperature quickly, the phone app is easy to use. I am enjoying learning how to use this cooking method. I wish the app had more recipes or a greater data base to search.

Purchased my first one in December…

Purchased my first one in December 2017. Loved it so much that I purchased a second one three months later. I cook just about everything with these two Joules. We've had the best steaks, chicken, sausages, vegetables, deserts, and more stuff than ever! Love it!!

I love my Sous vide it makes everything perfect every time! The only thing I wish I could do is schedule a start time. So for example if I could say turn the unit on to 140 degrees at 4:00 so the water is heated and ready for me when I get home at 5.
