I'd followed Chef Steps on YouTube for quite some time. Great people there. Then when they showed off their Joule product it intrigued me enough to purchase a Joule stick for myself. I've sous vided like a madman, chicken, turkey, beef, pork, tuna, creme brule, etc. Love the technique.

OMG I absolutely love this thing

OMG I absolutely love this thing! I use it at least twice a week because to me, it works like a crock pot but makes WAY better food. I've used it for individual steaks, 8 lb. pork shoulders and 20 lbs of boneless rib roast for Christmas Dinner. Everything has been unbelievably good. I can't say enough good about this thing, Best money I have ever spent on a cooking device!

I have two Joules. Always impressed.

I have two Joules and sometimes use them simultaneously in separate containers and, otherwise, rotate my Joules when I'm just using one. Very dependable and easy to use. I have an accurate digital thermometer that I use to feed my natural skepticism and the Joules are always dead on, temp wise.

Joule ROCKS! It's lightweight, just over a pound (so easy to stick in your carry-on or suitcase when you travel), heats the water very quickly (1100 watts of power), temperature is accurate, the app RULES for easy operation on your phone or tablet (along with FB messenger and Alexa!), with hundreds of guides to get you from start to finish on whatever you're cooking, including Visual Doneness:tm: so you can see where you're going before you even start, taking the guesswork out of choosing the right temperature and time for cooking that perfect steak or roast, chicken, fish, custard, etc. And the ChefSteps customer service operation is the best in the business. They are quick to resolve any issues, answer questions and they don't stop until you're happy! So yeah, I love Joule....and I have five so I know of what I speak!!
