The device is wonderful

The device is wonderful! On top of cooking with it, I've been using it to thaw frozen meat. It's amazing how fast I can thaw something. I just set the temp to 40F of something silly low and run it. 10min later I have nice cool and thawed meat! My only wish for the app is that there could be two levels to the menus: 1) Basic cooking and setup stuff. Like, I want to sous vide some chicken breast but I don't need a recipe. This one would have those damned sexy food pics of each temp, etc. 2) Recipe cooking, which is pretty much the selection you have now. I enjoy your recipes, but usually I just want my meat to get to a certain temp/look/doneness before I go and make it awesome on a pan or whatnot. This selection would be nice to browse casually without being attached to the Joule and not get warning that I'm not attached. Seriously though, I love using the Joule. I am super happy with my purchase!

This equipment has literally revolutionized my approach to cooking. The iPhone app is so convenient! I use the Joule several times a week. There is nothing like chicken breast done sous vide. Moist and amazingly tender!

I wanted to love it. I don't like the mushiness of the meat. My finished product looks nothing like your pictures. I feel like its more hassle than its worth and still use my slow cooker instead. The app needs to have more recipe options and variation on existing recipes.

Chef steps has amazing recipe's and great customer support. The joule has been great, but the durability needs some work, as i have yet to get more than 18 months use before one breaks.

Used my Joule and the App to cook a thanksgiving turkey and the veggies 15 guests said it was the best- tastiest, juiciest turkey that they had ever tasted. Then I learned to make London broil tender and tasty. Great product + App + website.
