LOVE LOVE LOVE Our Family Joule!!!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our Family Joule! First and formost, we are food snobs! We have 2 sous vide units: 1 Joule and 1 Anova. We pretty much have retired our Anova and prefer the Joule. We have never had a technical issue or had the app time out. We prepared our Thanksgiving turkey w/our Joule and it literally was The Best turkey we have ever made. In fact, we immediately bought another turkey breast just to sous vide for sammies and wraps. Both results were extraordinary!!! The interaction, recipe tracking, recipe library and it's petite size are our favorite features. The only suggestion I might make to corner the market might be a dual device that operates both manually and via Bluetooth. If there is ever a flash sale, count us in for another unit! In fact, a flash sale around Christmas and we would buy units as gifts!

Simply the best...

Last year I got a Joule to replace an extremely expensive laboratory grade immersion bath that I had been cooking with for five years. That big old beast has not been used since. The Joule got even better when Amazon released a skill for Alexa voice control. That's the only way I use it now. Cheers to ChefSteps for such an outstanding product!

Initially I loved Joulle

Initially I loved Joulle, I still love it. My only issue is that it can be noisy at times. When I first got it it was whisper quiet but after owning in for maybe a year it tends to create quite a bit more noise. At first I could quickly lift it out of the water for a split second and plunge it back in the water and it would quiet it down immensely. But now even that won't reset it. I'm not sure if it is air being trapped in Joulle, lack of lubrication, or if it's just vibration build up in in through use or a combination of all three. Listen, Joulle works wonderful and still works incredibly well. I just wish I could figure it out to get it to be as quiet as the first few months I operated it. It's not majorly loud but it's noticable from a room over with a tv on. All in all it's a great product.

Best present, endless possibilities! Hope the wifi gets updated but that's just a minor bug. Solid construction and amazing accuracy with food temp. The video tutorials are also the best out there.
