After almost 35 years, the only blender I've ever had finally gave up the ghost. I started looking at my blender options & became intrigued with the Torrent. Liked the high style & the magnetic drive concept. Took a chance & ordered one. I'm still putting through it's paces, but so far, it's taken everything I've thrown at it beautifully. From simple blending to crushed ice drinks, it does it all with style. It feel solid and very heavy. It did take a bit of time to get used to snapping the pitcher properly in place, but after that it's simple to operate. Also like how easy it is to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

There are several qualities that have me delighted with my KitchenAid Magnetic Drive Blender! I love the heftiness and sturdiness of the blender; the materials used to make it are extremely high quality. I love the idiot-proof placement of the canister that prevents spraying; the measuring cup placed at the top to cover the quick access point is super cute and convenient. Can I say cute? :) Most importantly, the blender is very strong. Lastly, the combination of the blades and the different settings allow you to have so many blending options. The blender may seem intimidating, but it's not. Just sit down with a cup of your favorite beverage, breeze through the quick guide, and start blending. You have plenty of time to get fancy after you've learned the basics. It's actually very easy to use. Don't let the KitchenAid Magnetic Drive Blender's impressive design intimidate you. Anybody can use it!!!

I tend to make a lot of frozen drinks in the summer and was disappointed in the performance at this particular task. It does a great job with most other things, makes creamy nut butters, smooth smoothies, and great sauces. It's loud enough that I understand where people are coming from with noise complaints, but doesn't seem noticeably louder than other high end blenders.
