before purchasing the Torrent I did a great deal of research between the leading brands in this price range. I cannot say enough how thrilled we'e been with the decision to go with the Torrent. It's pre-settings, incredible power and easy to use controls have made it our new go-to staple in the kitchen for creating home made juices, smoothies, sauces, soups--it really has been fundamentals in the whole family now eating healthier and fresher. The fact that it's also an incredible looking and well made machine on the counter-top is just the cherry on top of the milkshake--another thing it makes amazingly well, and fun to create! Highly recommend it.

I love the blender, but getting it was a challenge no one should have to overcome. The blender arrived (I ordered online) without a pitcher. Packing was original, so that means it wasn't packed properly. When I called, customer service was very apologetic and ordered me a pitcher - but they were out of stock!?! so it took a month to get the pitcher. The pitcher arrived in great shape - but without a lid! I called again, was treated very well by customer service, and had to wait another 10 days for the lid. Altogether, it was 7 weeks between the time I ordered the blender and the first time I used it. Not a way to win friends...

I LOVE this appliance. I bought it in red. It looks amazing in my kitchen. It is so powerful. I don't feel like it's going to break when I have ice in it or frozen fruit. I like how it stops when it finishes mixing. Best product I have purchased in a long time. Someone complained it's noisy. I love the sound....Like an airplane getting ready to take off

Works great, but has developed an unbearable sound

We have had this blender for almost two years now, and while it works great, it now produces a horrible sound, almost as if is unbalanced in the mechanism now. We honestly have to plug our ears just to use it, which is insane. It is starting to sound unsafe, like something is going to blow apart, so sadly we will have to be replacing it with something else. Definitely a shame as it worked great from the beginning and was pretty expensive.
Great features; Heavier than expected, well built however.

Lasted less than a year with light usage

We purchased this blende earlier this year, mainly for smoothies. At maximum it was used 4 times in a week. Then as the smoothie craze my wife was on wore off, it was probably used once or twice a month.
This holiday season I went to use it and it just didn't work. The motor hums as if it wanted to start up but the blades didn't turn. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. Had to run out to a discount store and buy a cheap one.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenaid equipment (not the major appliances) but if this is what I have to look forward to after spending so much on a "good" brand I seriously will reconsider as we had started to plan a kitchen remodel for the new year.
My kids know that I love kitchenaid so much, they even got me a kitchenaid pot for Christmas! I was so disappointed that I haven't opened the box yet.
I do not recommend this product as it did not last. I even considered buying a replacement jug to see if the blades had seized but it's near impossible to find online.
Everyone that knows
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
