I purchased the Torrent to replace an older blender we had, and didn't use that frequently. I've only had it for a few weeks, but love it! We make a lot of smoothies and the Torrent gets the to the perfect consistency. We've made frozen cocktails and salsa as well. I need to venture into more recipes, but the functions and usability of the Torrent are great and I especially like the clean up of the cup and blades. All in one is easy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Reading other reviews helped me to make the decision to buy this blender. I like the preprogrammed features - I like that you can walk away and let it turn itself off. Yes, it can, in my opinion, get loud; but I can get used to it since the programs last about 2 minutes. It is a solid machine with built-in safety features. What I like most is that it is easier to clean than previous blenders I have used.

I have used this blender several times with various types of foods. This is simply a blender but I have yet had to scrape the sides to get the food to the blades, it always blends everything well and the convenience of not having to stand there babysitting is a nice bonus too. The cost is high, but a very nice blender none-the-less.
