Happy with blender, but...

We are so happy with our blender, but noticed water retention in the base of the jar. How do I clean the liquid that is in the bottom of jar between plastic and grey base?! help

I'm diabetic. I used to have bacon and eggs on a near daily basis. Since getting the Torrent I have switched to a healthy smoothy 6 days every week. My blood sugars have never been better. What is fantastic is the ease of use. I simply add the ingredients turn the knob to the smoothy icon and push. The Torrent takes care of the rest. Every time the smoothy is perfect. I love this machine. Thank you KitchenAid for such a wonderful product.
P.S. I love the " Elevator " chime when the product is completed.

I saw this blender demonstrated in a store and I just had to have it. I have been making my morning smoothies in it and it's fast and makes them just right, even shuts itself off at the right time. I am very satisfied with this blender.

Replacing my 20 year old Oster. Needed a blender to use at least twice a week for soups &/or fruit smoothies. After reading the reviews, I decided on the KitchenAid Torrent blender which met my top 3 priorities: performance, pitcher volume & total height.
The performance is outstanding -easy to use and my soups & smoothies are perfectly blended. The 1.75 liter pitcher volume easily holds my soups & smoothies without having to blend a second batch. The soups/smoothies neatly pour from pitcher. The blender fits well on my counter top under my overhead cabinets. Love the design where the pitcher inserts into the front of the base so I never have to move the base from under the cabinets.
Unfortunately, there are 2 negatives. It is heavy so you need counter space to leave out 24/7- just too heavy/large to tuck it away in a cabinet. The other negative is the noise. All blenders are too loud but this one is really loud & might be amplified by my granite counter tops. I leave the kitchen after I start it & come back when it has finished it cycle. The good news is you can walk away because it has preset time based on what you are blending.

Torrent Magnetic Blender

I bought this blender a few years ago, it worked well when I purchased it. But now, it doesn't shut off automatically and it produces a horrible loud sound. It's unfortunate because I paid a lot of money for a blender that is basically worthless today.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've not had a proper, stand-alone blender in my kitchen for many years, and I'm so glad that I saved up my pennies to purchase this one. While it took me a moment to figure out how to unlock the blender container from the base (after having read another review in which this was said to be difficult, and I said to myself "oh, this will be easy!", and then spent time feeling overconfident), once that was settled, the rest was easy. It makes the very best smoothies, and even though while it's revving up to full speed it's a bit, um, noticeable in terms of sound, I'll gladly deal with that for enjoying this beautiful, Candy-Apple-Red, functional appliance on my kitchen counter!
