DO NOT BUY THIS

I used this about 4 times a week. Basic smoothies, nothing fancy like the soups or whatever you can do. They bottom “magnet” piece has started to have an issue with leakage, creating mold. Cannot be repaired, only replaced. Now I have an awesome magnetic piece of junk.
And don’t get me started on the fact that I need jet sound level ear protectors
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A little hard to pull pitcher out. Pitcher could have been glass instead of plastic. Does not come in empire red to match mixer. But does great job.

Second Torrent Blender

This is the second torrent blender that we have had issues with. The first was almost dangerously loud. I used a sound level and found that it was around 110-125db, which is close to a jet engine. We exchanged this unit out of another one and now after about 5 months the blades in the pitcher will not spin and there is a burning smell coming from the unit. Pretty bummed that such an expensive unit would die so quickly!

This is by far the best blender I have ever used. I purchased it with high hopes but few expectations after about two years of using a high-end, very expensive blender that did not live up to its claims. I am blown away. It does everything it is supposed to do, and it does it all very, very well. The build feels as though it should last several lifetimes and beyond. If you're planning to spend some serious money on a blender, this one, in my opinion, is the one to spend it on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

How do I clean the liquid that is in the bottom of carafe between plastic and grey base?! I love the blender, but this is gross. Please help.

I withheld from buying the VitaMix because of its design, very plasticy, cheap looking. However, when I saw the Kitchen Aig Torrent, its design caught my eye, very different, very unique. The only problem I have is the difficulty to remove and to place the blender back to its place. It is hard, I have to try several times to place it in position. Otherwise, it blends very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
