The way to treat your coffee beans in style.

Note: it IS a siphon/vacuum brewer. Coffee is siphoned up and air pressure causes a vaccuum.... anyway this method does produce the best coffee. this unit is well constructed and looks to be really sturdy. the price you pay is the cleanup. it is more involved than most other products so this may be a deal breaker for some. For most, a small price to pay for great coffee. I would have also prefered that the carafe would have a keep warm feature.

Good concept, poor design

Impossible to clean. Difficult to pour or empty carafe. No warming plate. Coffee cold before I can finish a cup. The cloth filter is a joke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the coffee maker but too fragile

I've had this brewer for 3 years now and love the taste of the coffee but I've just had to buy my 4th brewing carafe. You have no choice but to manhandle the brewing carafe while cleaning out the gounds and even the slightest wrong move causes breakage. At $80 a pop, no matter how much I love the coffee it makes, I'm not going to purchase another one.
