SOME SMALL ISSUES BUT OVERALL A NICE REFRIGERATOR

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for a month now and so far so good. We don't hear excessive noise from this unit like other people have commented. We have noticed differences in temperature though in different areas of the refrigerator after checking it with a thermometer. The temperature does not match what is displayed on the door. It's off about 5 degrees. Currently the refrigerator is set at 40F and thermometers read 35F. This is not a big deal but we were told to set the temp at 37F and some items were showing crystals. To save energy and the compressor my husband raised the temp to 40F. Also the display is nice but you can't tell if you are choosing water, cube or crushed ice because the words don't light up like the temperatures have the option to do. This should be lit all the time or at least be legible with darker wording.
The fingerprint reducing surface doesn't reduce fingerprints. It isn't as shiny as the stainless used to be but it still isn't reducing the smudges like I thought it would. Buy a good stainless steel cleaner and that will take care of the smudges. Also the surface tends to scratch very easily. We had magnets on the old refrigerator (the small round magnets that are glued to the back of a decorative ceramic trinket) and they scratched the surface so my husband threw them away. Flat magnets don't seem to have this issue.
My husband didn't like the dark gray color on the sides of the fridge so he painted it black to match the new Frigidaire stainless front stove that we bought along.with the refrigerator. Looks really good and now they match better he says.
I'm still getting used to the bottom freezer from the side by side we used to have. My biggest issue is the top tray has very low sides and doesn't hold items like the larger bottom freezer that my sister has (a 26 cu ft). I feel you lose storage when you can't stack food too high, and the bottom drawer can't go too high either or it won't slide back without jamming up bags of vegetables or french fries.
We bought another Frigidaire because the side-by-side was 14+ years old and was working just fine but I was afraid it might go out while we were away camping. The ice maker was leaking inside the door and rust was showing on the outside surface below the ice maker but that was the ONLY issue my husband said he had ever had with this unit. It was at the house when he bought it in 2006. I hope this new one is as reliable as the old one.

Simple and sleek

It's a small office of 12 people; everyone commented on nice it looked and how much room it had. The front panel is sleek and easy to use. There is plenty of storage space. The stainless steel finish has been easy to keep clean.

In love with my Fridge!!!!!

When I open my fridge I have room for platter and large items. The counter depth also gave my a foot of room in my kithen. Worth every penny I spent. Love, loe love my fridge!
