Very efficient unit!

I bought 2 of these for my upstairs bedrooms. They work great and only cool as needed. Better than all our previous CS units.

Incredible little machine

I have a large railroad apartment, with windows only on either end. As a result, my home can get a bit dark. Every bit of sunlight is important, and so is having a view.
Quite by accident, I come across this low-profile air-conditioner and wonder why all window air conditioners aren't designed this way.

The machine is amazing. It's quiet, it's light, it's efficient, it's low-profile and it really works! I bought two in fact. One for my study and one for the dining room. They quickly cool down these rooms and without sacrificing my view and sunlight.
And, because they are Frigidaire, I know I'll have them for a long time.

Quiet and Effective.

Cooling a very sunny 120 sq. ft. room. This unit does a nice job of keeping the room cool and low in humidity, especially when combined with a ceiling fan.
My only complaint is the placement of the controls. I have a cat who LOVES to jump up on it and invariably changes the settings or turns it off completely.
I would recommend this to a friend!

decent cooling in a small package

- draining hole doesn't work, most water is pooling up and drilling out from the bottom of the fins in the back instead
- hard to get air blow more forward instead of upward
- bracket is designed for window with an outer sill, maybe it's just a regional thing but I've moved a lot and have never come across a place with that, fortunately the unit is pretty light and can be hold securely in place just by closing down the window on it

My recommandation for everyone is to ditch the accordion style sash seal, they are useless in blocking heat and sound. Instead go buy a peice of rigid foam insultation of the right thickness for your window at your local home improvement store and cut it to fit the opening on either side.
While you are at it, instead of drilling holes on your window frame to install the sash lock, pick up a wood dowel or quarter round molding and cut to fit into the window track instead.

SLIM LINE AND I FOUND THAT MY HOME WAS NOT WELL SUITED FOR CENTRAL AIR. I HAVE PURCHASED 5 OF THESE UNITS. WE ONLY USE THEM ,AS WE USE CERTAIN ROOMS, NOT THE WHOLE HOUSE ALL THE TIME, PLUS THE ENERGY SAVER MODE SAVED EVEN MORE ONELECTRICITY BILLS.

Love the window fit!

I love the way it fits my window! I especially love the digital settings. It was easy to set up, set the temp you want, fan speed and auto and forget it! :) My hottest, hardest to cool room is now 100% comfortable all the time
