My review of the unit

My thoughts about this AC Unit. Like the style and looks good in the window, Fan is very quite on the lower speeds but has a weird higher pitch sound. Not to annoying and I can live with it. One thing to think about! Looking at the unit one will expect the air flow to come out at a 30 to 45 Deg angle. This is not what happens, it blows almost straight up against the window and as a result has very poor coverage in the room. I made a cardboard deflector that now sends the air out at a true 45 to 60 Deg angle.
The unit has a lot of vibrations when cooling, a must is a good mount to isolate it from the building. Me I mount it on a platform that has no connection to the house. No problems at all now. The temp reading is off by about 3 to 4 Deg's. As to cooling I think it is over rated BTU wise. Have 2 LG 6,000 BTU units and they blow a lot more cold air. Would I buy it again? YES!

Great AC!

Bought this AC just before summer started. Very quit, cools our bedroom down pretty quick even with the door open. Love the features like the timer and Econ feature.

Just the right size!

I bought this about 2 months ago and love it. The size is important as we used this for a smaller window space in a 1 car garage here in Florida. It was getting too hot during the summer months, especially after returning with a hot car which really drove up the temp in the garage. This ac unit works great, fits into the small window perfectly without taking up the entire window. Remote control or unit panel, all works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this low profile air conditioner!! It is definitely an energy saver and it doesn't take up the whole entire window like regular AC's.

Doesn't cool room...

I have a small, small room in a NYC apartment and this A/C hardly brings the room to a temperature that's comfortable in the summer. I have to bring the unit's temperature down into the 60s & on "cool" to even begin to feel comfortable. Forget about the economy and fan settings & forget about trying to save money on utilities with this thing, only way it works is if you crank up the energy...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just put it in a month ago, works fine as far as I can tell this early, looks good, seems well made, it's in a storeroom so I don't hear it very much but it's pretty quiet when I'm in there, it's set at 80 to keep the area from getting overly hot,, happy with it so far.
