Great When It Works - But Frigidaire Came Through!

The first unit I bought of this model sounded like a motor boat when the compressor kicked in. The unit only put out 63 degrees at the front louvers. The place where I bought it said I had to deal with Frigidaire, they would do nothing! Called Frigidaire and within less than 10 minutes was approved to get a new machine. Frigidaire contacted my dealer to make the exchange and now I'm cool and comfortable. By the way, on a cool day, the unit put out 39 degrees at the louvers and the compressor is not shouting at me.

Cools efficiently!

I've used this unit for about 2 months now. I like the temperature sensing remote. This A/C unit can be noisy at times and you may have to crank up the volume of your TV or stereo. I'm pleased with this unit so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this through the wall air conditioner so that I can free up my windows. I love it. It looks great and cools off my whole apartment.

Replacement: same unit which failed after 9 years

Original unit control panel installed in 2006 failed after much use. More efficient to replace with new unit than to repair an old one. It makes an attic space, otherwise unusable, useable.

I'm happy to have to have the air conditioner during the month of August and early September. I was disappointed that my previous Frigidaire only lasted less than 5 yrs.
However thanks to the warranty I was given a credit for the purchase price.

Cools the entire apartment, but . . .

Does an excellent job of cooling and love the flexibility of the remote. With the use of ceiling fans in other rooms, this unit cools down the apartment to a comfortable level very quickly. This past August and September were very hot and humid. It handled those days with ease. My only complaint is the noise level when the compressor is on and the unit is on high fan speed. VERY NOISY.
