Too mucj for Gorilla too break!!!

Also having the same problem as everyone else!!! My son got this for Christmas of 2017 and the gorilla isn't working properly! I agree with what someone else said in a previous comment why put something out that hasn't been properly tested at such a high price!? As I bought this from a place that I can't return I am stuck!!! Extremely dissatisfying!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my 7 year old for his birthday. I am so glad I did, he loves cars and this is a "dream come true" for him. I mean, come on, a gorilla, Pterodactyls, and a four story garage. Told him to be careful with the gorilla, because of the reveiws of if breaking, so far so good. I disagree with other reviews. WELL DONE Hot Wheels!!!

Would be good if it worked properly

My son loves the set however the gorilla keeps getting stuck due to the pins holding it to the tower coming loose. This causes the elevator not to work, it's very frustrating and my son really wants to work right.

Would be a 5 star toy if it didn’t come broken

My son got this toy for Christmas and the gorilla came with missing screws now one of the ones that was there has popped out and won’t go back in. It makes the whole elevator get stuck and not work at all. I read other reviews that said the gorilla would pull cars off. It never did that on this set. The little gray flaps at the bottom of the track won’t close either. It makes the all the cars crash and fly off. He still plays with the garage all the time but the features that should make it really great just aren’t working. It wouldn’t be so upsetting that the garage doesn’t work great except it cost a lot of money for what it is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked for about one week

For $170.00 this product should work and last for more than one week. We put this together on Christmas day 2017 and the gorilla stopped working on December 31, 2017. The gorilla was stuck at the bottom and would not go past one rotation of the elevator. After hearing the details from my wife about how our six year old son thinks that it was wrong for him to ask for the HWSUG I tried to get the gorilla fixed. I tried to move the gorilla up and the internal plastic broke. The product looks great and should be a lot of fun, BUT it never should have gone to market with out a way to free/reset or remove the gorilla. This review should have no stars at all. I want to be contacted and have this product replaced. To rate the product's ability to hold interest and being fun is not something that can be done properly if it's broke. Other than that we love Hot Wheels.

Elevator makes horrible noise and gets stuck

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son received the Hot Wheels Super Ultimate Garage Playset for Christmas. All went well setting it up, but the elevator makes a horrible noise and gets stuck whenever you turn it on. This happens with and without the gorilla, though more often with the gorilla. We have had this product less than 2 days and my husband is already ready to toss it in the trash because of the sticking elevator and obnoxious sound it makes when it gets stuck. My son loves the size and all that the product can do, so we would be interested in trying whatever we need to do to fix it.

Another Gorilla Fail!

We bought this as a Christmas gift for our sons. We assembled it Christmas morning and they were really excited. But after a full day of use, Gorilla was in stuck at the bottom and jammed the elevator. I found that several of the fasteners attaching the gorilla to the track had come lose and was causing the jam. It is not a regular screw so I couldn't fasten it. I'm so disappointed and have emailed customer service (pending response). As a family we have purchased many hot wheels products. This is by far our worst experience and it is extremely disappointing with such a large and expensive playset. Based on the other reviews this looks like a common problem.
