This boom box replaced an earlier CFD-S70, but had a different problem - tape portion seems to be running slowly (sounds like low batteries, even though it was plugged into 110-VAC outlet). Can this one be exchanged for another (hopefully, it will sound normal)?

I've had the previous model which i gave to a friend and it lasted me for some great years without any problem because i takecare of my merchandise. A lot of people have to realize that taking care of your things and not handling it in a ruff manner will actually help preserve your things! I enjoyed my little boombox. But the only thing is. I wish there were a little more bass then what you guys offer. If you have to go up on the price. Thats fine! But i can say. The radio has a nice clean and clear sound with the highs but desperately needs deeper lows to help bring it together, otherwise i truly enjoy my Sony little boombox always! Thank you so much!

Bought this product so I could play my tapes but they didn't play on this machine. Also sound is not very good when playing cd's.

I have had this boombox for almost a year now and it's stood up to my daily life. I've taken this thing all over the place. From doing landscaping to parties this has provided vital music. I am also able to record from my turntables to tape which was the main reason I purchased it.
