Convenient and Quick

Easy to set up and use. Cleaning function is great and easy to use and seems to thoroughly clean the head of the shaver. Doesn't get as close as I had hoped, I knew it wouldn't be as close as a razor but it seems to miss a lot of hair.

Shaver is great, poor display!

Shaver works great! After a few weeks of getting used to the shaver and the shaver used to my contours of my face, I really enjoy the shaver and the self cleaning base. Although the self cleaning base is a little too sensitive. (Careful when you wipe off dust as you might start the cleaning process. The display is awful! Any kind of light and it’s really hard to read the display unless your in almost complete darkness! Frustrating!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Norelco savers since I started shaving 50+ years ago. This one is my 3rd or 4th. The biggest reason I bought this one was because they stopped making replacement heads for my 8000 series. I hesitated in buying the 9000 because I saw a few negative reviews and I was afraid it would be taking a step down, but I really need new heads and I was intrigued by the auto cleaning gadget, so went ahead. Good decision. I'm very happy with the shaver and the cleaning system. Great shave. The only con I can think of is that I miss the built-in trimmer the 8000 had, but I can live with that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this razor for about a month at the time I am writing this review. I have always used a standard razor in the past but wanted to try an electric razor. This had very good reviews and I associate Philips Norelco with quality. The razor seems to be well built and feels comfortable in hand. The base charging/cleaning unit is very nice as it gives a place for the razor to live, charges the battery, and cleans the heads all at the same time.
The shave it provides is adequate but not as close as a standard razor. I always feel some stubble after using this razor. I have a pretty light beard and spend about 10 minutes shaving with this razor. You do have to cover the same areas multiple times to get a clean shave and If you shave dry, it is very hot and pulls. If you let your beard go over the weekend you will have to cut down the longer growth with something else before using the electric razor.
Overall, I think if you like to shave often this is good. I think for me this was a little bit of an expensive experiment and I will most likely be returning to a standard razor.

The best electric razor I've ever owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shaver is quieter and shaves much closer than my last razor. I have sensitive skin and this razor glides over my skin without any irritation.
The included cleaner is quicker and quieter than my last razor. A big plus because I get up first and don't dare interfere with her beauty sleep.
Only issue I have is that the places that sell the razor don't stock the replacement cleaner pods.

I rated this product 5 stars because it’s the only electric shaver I’ve used that gives me as close and comfortable a shave as a razor! It’s more comfortable than a blade especially when used with shaving gel. It’s very easy to clean.
