I've been using Philips shavers for 44 years , from 2 head rotary to 3 head rotary as well as various Philips nose trimmers and the wonderful One Blade shaver. I've had great experiences with Philips grooming products and the 9000 series wet and dry shaver is no exception. It gives you comfortable close shaves with ease . Keep it clean and it will always perform well . This is my second time buying this razor . I have two complaints: #1 I prefer the slide out trimmer to the new separate trimmer you attach by removing the shaver head every time you need to use it . Increases the risk of damaging the rotary blades . #2 The smartclean system quit working properly shortly after the warranty expired so I ended up buying a new shaver to get a new smartclean system, bummer. The cleaner keeps the razor in top condition if used correctly .
The flexibility is great, it took a little getting used to, and now four hours later my stubble is now just staring to be felt with my fingers going against the grain. The wash feature is really slick and recharges the shaver at the same time! The only down side that I have found is that I have to use slightly more pressure while shaving than my old one.
The shaver is giving a nice close shave. The shaver runs quieter than the old one and the blades seem to be better seated. So far I am happy with the shave I get.

Shaves well Low quality head which starts falling off the base midway during a shave. A possible safety hazard. Less than two years of use, once every 3-4 days and the shave head is starting to fall off the base, the notch is diminishing with every use!!!

Look at the notch that locks the head to the shaver base, it has gotten very thin with less than two years of use. Watch the video where I will show how it just snaps off easily. Same for the trimmer but not as bad.

The base where the notch locks in seems to have expanded with use, again less than two years. Watch the video to see how it disengages from the head with a slight push (or turn on the face).
Head easily detaches from base after some use, less than two years.

Before using this product to shave I honed this shaver by putting one drop of shaver oil on each head and ran the shaver for 5 minutes off and on over a one hour period. Then I cleaned the shaver and used it to shave. It did a great job, except directly under my nose, which I finished with a manual razor. Previously, I had to finish shaving using a manual razor lightly over my whole face, especially under my chin.

This electric shaver takes me 2-3 times longer to shave. This razor leaves my face dry. The most expensive Norelco shaver I have ever bought and works half as good as my last 4 Norelco shavers.
