Bought this shaver to replace a decades old Norelco. The shave does give a nice shave. However changing over to the trimmer is a pain. My old shaver has a pop up built in. The beard comb on the trimmer is tricky to install. If not put in just right the height adjustment can slip. I find the speed adjustment of limited use. I just leave it set to medium speed. The shaver itself is bit tricky to take apart to clean. My old shaver just need a push of the button and it popped open. Philips took a step back on this model.
Pleasantly surprised at the smoothness and quality of the shave. I have been using an older model Norelco for many years and was amazed at the difference. This shaver has many convenient features but what it eventually boils down to is the quality of the shave. I am thoroughly impressed. Hopefully it will continue to perform at this level..Only time will tell.
I had a 5000 series Norelco before this shaver. It shaved OK, but I wasn't overly thrilled with it. I bought this one because it came with a trimmer attachment. Wow, what a difference! I don't know if they have redesigned the shaver heads or what, but this shaver is leaps and bounds better than my old one!
this shaver gives a very clean shave and it is light, the unit is really quiet and very smooth. battery life is awesome, with one full charge can last almost two to three months.
I like the new upgrades to this newest model. They did away with filling the cleaning solution container with liquid solution and provided pods to alleviate the mess. Providing battery percentage instead of time remaining was wise and intelligent upgrade.
I shave my face and entire head. I have for many years. I have tried a lot of shavers and this one works the best. The shaving heads flex and make it very easy to shave. It is faster because of the way it is made.
