This is a perfect example of evolution in quality engineering by a company heralded for such top-shelf products. This shaver follows my face with accuracy and results in a clean shave without typical over-and-over effort. Does not grab delicate tissue at the corners of my mouth and is quiet and smooth running. The battery seems (still on the FIRST CHARGE) to last forever! Really like the changeable heads where the supplied trimmer head is adjustable for beard length and allows good and consistent grooming. A very high quality product; highly recommend it!
Pros: quiet, excellent close shaving, great ergonomic design easy to hold, follows face contours easily and smoothly
Cons: none! maybe a bit pricey but likely to last long!

I’ve had numerous Braun-style shavers with their unique foil and at least two rotary shavers over the years, a 1060x Arcitec and this new 9000 series. First, It’s my opinion that the rotary style does a better job than the other, shaves more closely and is far quieter, second, the 9000 series is the same in terms of a quality close shave as its older cousin, the Arcitec. It is preferable to the Arcitec in really only one respect though: it is portable. The Arcitec rests in a stand through which it is charged so you have to haul them both when traveling. The Norelco fits nicely in your hand, is lightweight - and did I say that it makes practically no noise! This is a fine electric razor. The only drawback, and it is a minor one, is the replacement of the individual heads rather than the whole top unit (as in the Arcitec). Nothing shaves like a real razor, of course, but for those in between just-as-good quickies, you can’t beat the 9000.
Cons: replacement of individual heads tedious

Very clean shave. This is the best electric shaver I've owned, even better than previous Norelco units. I tend to not believe the advertising hype, but this one delivers. I like the choice of different intensities, like Sensitive, Normal and Strong, also using with a wet face and/or shave cream. The heads move to fit the face contours. Nice to have the remaining charge show as numbers.

This shaver is much faster than my previous electric shaver. It is even quieter! I have shaved 15 times now and it still shows 55% charge so it seems to last at least a month of shaves between charging. Could not ask for a better electric shaver!

It looks and feels like a toy, but it does a good job - very close shave and my wife is happy.
I have read other comments about issues eg., accidentally turning it off, etc., but I have not had this happen to me. Probably aware of the issues.
I do not shave in the shower, or use it wet - prefer to use it in dry mode......old fashioned and safe! would love to have it run with cord connected.
I clean it at least once a week, but may do it more frequently as time goes by.
Pros: versatile, battery last about one week, easy to use, relatively light to handle
Cons: would like to use with cord, little room to package cord, purchasing replacement expensive

This Norelco shaver 9850 is great for shaving bald heads. Leaves you with an extremely close shave on face and head. Love that it never pulls on hair and never irritates or cause a rash. Can be used dry or wet. Easy to clean. Excellent quality. Use it everyday. Shaving no longer feels like a task.
