[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After only 10 days using the shaver, I can say unconditionally that it is giving me a shave as close as a blade. I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I have been using Norelco shavers for 47 years. The S9731 in the wet mode provides the best shave I have ever gotten from an electric razor. And like the model 9721, it is very easy to clean and the digital percent time provides razor status while traveling to know charge status.
Pros: very smooth shave
Cons: head assembly is not availble. only blades.

The razor cuts well, however when it comes to cleaning that a dirrence story. When trying to detach the cutting blades, the whole unit comes out

I needed to upgrade shavers really bad. I really love how every design gets quieter. Some of the older models are so ear piercing, but not this design. Love the detachable heads from shaver to trimmer. The LCD display is amazing and it's so easy to use.

Outstanding product - almost as close as a blade razor shave.

This is an outstanding product. I "came back" to Philips Norelco after many years of using a safety razor to shave daily. This series 9000 model gives a shave that is close to a safety razor blade shave. I have used it every day since I bought it, and it is really good. I can shave for two weeks without a recharge, so that means I can bring it on trips without worry.
Pros: close shave great design.
Cons: cost to replace the "head" will be extremely high.
