The shave this unit provides is very close. Not as close as a blade but very good for an electric shaver. The included accessories are chosen well. I didn't need the cleaning station so it was nice to have the option for not including\paying for it. The facial cleaning brush does a great job of exfoliating without tearing up skin. The clipper is pretty strong and wide and clips really well. Much better than I anticipated. Haven't used the nose hair trimmer yet so can't comment on it. I recommend this shaver.
I've always purchased a Norelco that had a trimmer attached to the razor. This razor has a separate trimmer attachment that, at first, I thought would be a "pain" to put on and off - but it's a breeze to do that and the trimmer is much larger and cuts better than the attached trimmers have been. I also like the visible count-down feature of the time remaining before having to recharge, together with the flashing red signal.
This is the best shaver I have used in my entire life. It shaves so closely better than my friends who use Razors.
The only drawback is Philips does not offer replacement head, Instead we need to replace the 3 rotary heads which in my experience has provided inferior experience after changing them.
so far so good. I am impressed with the kind of close shave I get with this shaver. It is also comfortable to hold . I am however worried about how long the retaining rings will last before they need to be changed. They are expensive and do not generally last long
Pros: comfortable clean close shave, quick chargebold charge indicator
Cons: retaining rings not designed to last, expensive retaining rings
This is my fourth Norelco shaver. I have never worn one out yet. The only reason I replace them is that the batteries give out.
Pros: easse of use and cleaning.
Cons: i would llike more battery life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THE GREAT EXPERIMENT. THIS IS MY FIRST ELECTRIC AND I WILL BE GOING BACK TO THE BLADE. NEVER REALLY GAVE A GOOD CLOSE SHAVE AND JUST BECAME WORSE OVER TIME. FROM REVIEWS I HAVE READ THE BLADES ARE NOT LIKE THOSE OF YESTERYEAR, BUT WHAT NOWADAYS IS?
This is the 2nd Phillilps Norelco shaver that i've owned for the past 12 years.

My substandard rating is due Not to the performance but due to the logistics & design of the shaver, the case and the charger. My previous shaver that I've owned for the past many years had the luxury of a charging cradle and this was not only convenient in my bathroom but efficient. With my new razor, is really annoying that I can't even store the razor and the charging cord in the case that comes with this. It's extremely frustrating that I now have to keep the razor in the case separated and stored separately from the charger. In sum, logistically, it's extremely inconvenient. P.S. When I mentioned this issue to one of your Customer Service Representatives, specifically, that the case will not hold both the razor and the charger, she said, " this is a really good point and we recommend that you provide this to us in the way of feedback. So, here you have it folks. Thanks for your time and attention to this summary review. James
