The 9800 is the last in a line of Norelco shavers I have owned over the last 50 years, and it is the best, by far. The 9800 shaves closer and with little or no irritation. The charge last much longer. It is easy to clean. I haven't used the trimmer attachment yet, so I don't know how well that will work. I definitely recommend the shaver.

Finally an electric shaver that rivals blades

I have tried to switch from blades several times in the past 20 years and have always been disappointed and reverted back to blade shaving. I decided to try this razor after reading reviews, backed by the 21 day satisfaction. I didn't need a week before I was truly surprised and pleased that I could finally say goodbye to blade shaving. The closeness of the shave has continued to impress me and I am enjoying my "new shave" each day.

I was skeptical at first by the appearance of the razor, but when I started using
it that changed quickly. I've had 4 different Norelco razors in my lifetime and by
far this one is the best. It shaves closer and the trimming accessory head is
far superior to the pop-up trimmers in the past. I have recently purchased a Norelco Smartclean system for maintaining my razor and that has improved my shaving experience alot.
