This shaver is good and easy to use. Does not give shave burns and easy to use with shaving gel. Battery life is excellent and lasts almost 2 weeks.
The clipper is a great add on and allows close trim of side burns and mustache.
The cleaning stand is easy and benefit of charging and cleaning is great.
Only issue is the shave is not close enough and need to run 2 shaves to get a clean and satisfying cut.
Pros: light weight, long battery life
Cons: not a close shave compared to razor

Just had it for a few months and I use it very occasionally and when i do The battery doesn't hold a charge and the cleaning system worked few times ( 4 times ) since I got it and now doesn't even Clean.
I like the design and the feeling in the hand and the 2 speeds And i been a fan of Norelco for almost 2 decades, my old one last 10 years and still going strong! Yes, i am back with using it.
My New one sitting on the shelves collecting dust.
Hopefully, Philips will help out since the product still under warranty.

Shaves as close as a new razor without the prep and mess. No facial irritation. Does a better job than blades without nicks or cuts. Always clean, charged and ready to do a great job. I got rid of my stypic pencil. Baby soft. I use the brush accessory to do a daily deep clean.

Problem w orange retaining ring

The reason I am unhappy with this shaver is that although the actual shave is nice. The orange retaining rings that hold the blade in place keep falling out making it impossible to shave. I ordered new ones and the same thing keeps happening. Be careful if you ever take them out to clean as recommended they might be ruined and you will have constant problems.

9700 Wet/Dry Shaver

Never thought I would use one on an on going basis! Many, many years ago I purchased an electric shaver only to be disappointed. I made up my mind to never try one again!
Fast forward many, many years and after spending tons of money on blades, I said, something's gotta change, I did my home work on electric shavers and cost comparison as well as results and reviews and purchased the Philips 9700 shaver.
I read the instructions on use, cleaning the unit, etc... As well as giving the product the 21 day trial test. Wow, never heard of this before! So, I committed, by the 4th day - I had it down to a science and have not put this down since.
Goodbye to blade shaving, good riddance time spent in front of a mirror, goodbye to costly blade purchases!

I really like my new Phillips 9700 shaver. It gives me a very close and comfortable shave with zero irritation, and it is fast and easy to hold. I have been using Norelco products for many years (over thirty years) and would recommend this shaver very favorably.
