I was careful to clean my previous Philips shaver but it was a tedious job to get it really clean. With this one the cleaning is done for me and I have to say it does a much better job. Oh, and the shave, as usual with a Philips, is escellent!

I HAVE ENJOYED NORELCO SHAVERS FOR MANY YEARS AND ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO NEW AND IMPROVED MODELS. FOR ME IT'S ALMOST LIKE WHEN A NEW APPLE PRODUCT COMES OUT.
THE 9700 GIVES ME A VERY CLOSE SHAVE EVERY TIME I USE IT.
IF THERE IS ONE NEGATIVE ITS THE UNIT THAT YOU CHARGE, CLEAN AND STORE IT IN. IT IS NOT ALWAYS RELIABLE.

A smooth shaver that is close as one can get without a blade. The latest blades are very smooth and there was a great effort to improve the rotary experience.

My current Norelco shaver was getting hard to find new shaving heads for so I opted to purchase the 9700 as a replacement. I am sure glad I did. The shave it provides is great, and I love that it has a charging and cleaning unit with it. That way it is always clean and charged for the next shave. To make the solution lasts a little longer, I do remove the shaver heads and brush out some of the excess hair before cleaning that way the solution may last a little longer, but who knows. Overall this is an awesome shaving system and would highly recommend.
Pros: great consistent shave., cleanins and charged for next shave., great floating head for close shave

Best Shaver I have had yet!

I have been using Norelco flagship model shavers for 35 plus years, I first purchased the Flagship Norelco Rototract shaver in the mid 80's and it shaved really great. I have continued to purchase the more recent Flagship models since then. When I purchased this model, the Norelco 9700 series Flagship model, I have been nothing short of impressed by the fast close shave it gives me and the use of cleaning and maintaining it. This is without a doubt the best Norelco I've had yet!
Pros: very comfortable shave and easy to maintain.
Cons: trimmer not attached to shaver but works well.

I was having problem with one of my unit would not stay in. I was sent that orange ring; i was sent one of the razor section, and it seems that nothing was working. They sent me a whole head and now it perfect again! I still have not figured out what was wrong with my old one, but I was so thankful that they sent what i needed!
Pros: this company took care of me!, they do really care about their product!

The shaver cuts really close. Best shave I have ever got, but the cutters fall apart.

If they could make the blade portion more sturdy and easier to clean this would be a much better shaver. The blades full very fast. I have only had it for two months before problems arose. I give it three stars because the company was willing to replace the heads without me purchasing another set.
