Was very pleased with the performance of this razor from the first time I used it. I've never experienced a smoother, closer, and quicker shave from a electric razor, and that includes other Philips models. The razor is very quiet when running, and being light weight, it's easy to move around your face. Use it with gel, foam, or dry and you get a smooth, close shave. I would recommend this product to anyone who considering the purchase of an electric razor.
Pros: very lite weight good battery life no razor burn
Cons: a little on the expensive side for an electric raz

This is one of the best Norelco shavers I have used in the past 60 yrs. It gets close and you don't have to shave for a long time to get the smooth shave that is desirable for an old timer. I still have most of my old shavers and only one doesn't work and it was the one I bought just before my last purchase of a 9400. So I am content with this 9400 shaver.
Pros: it curves with your face to get the smoothness

I've had numerous other electric shavers over a lifetime and without question this is the best I've ever had. Without exception every other shaver I've had has caused some degree of shaver "burn". There is no burn what so ever with this Norelco shaver. With every other shaver it has been necessary to go over and over to receive a reasonably close shave. With the Norelco, it is only necessary to go over the same area a few times to get a good shave. This is a nicely designed shaver that does a great job.

I was shaving with a different electric shaver that I had for years and it finally met it's end when the blades cut me while shaving so I ended up getting the Phillips 9000 series shaver and I was surprised at how close of a shave I got right off the bat. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new electric razor.

This shaver and its trimmer do a great job. It is quiet and the battery lasts a long time. But I don't like the way you have to pull the face off to clean the blades. My older Norelco shaver had a flip-up feature that was easier. Similarly, my old shaver had a flip-up trimmer, instead of having to swap heads, like on this one. Definitely less convenient, but it works very well.
Pros: quiet, shaves close, long-lasting battery, good trimmer
Cons: you must pry the shield off to clean the blades, you must swap heads to use the trimmer

The discontinued shaving head for my Artec was much better for my sensitive skin. The Norelco RQ 12 + replacement is to big.
