Got my Philips shaver as a gift from my spouse. It gives me a very close shave in no time at all. Watch TV and shave while getting ready to go out for dinner. Easy to use, easy to clean, and a good close shave. What could be better.

IT IS THE BEST NORELCO I HAVE EVER USED AND I HAVE USED NOTHING BUT NORELCO FOR OVER 40 YEARS. IT SHAVES CLOSER WITH MUCH LESS EFFORT AND WITHOUT ANY FACE BURN. Ii MISS THE SIDEBURN TRIMMER FROM MY 1060 HOWEVER, AND STILL USE IT FOR THAT PURPOSE. THE BEARD TRIMMER DOES NOT WORK FOR THAT PURPOSE.

The best new 9000 shavers are the best

This new shaver is as good as it's design images promised it to be. The multi-floating heads really hug the face and the dual blades really cut all the hairs. It's as close as a blade, no cuts or burns, much faster in the morning, you can touch up nicely in the evening without a red face, and it's quieter. I have a 6000, which I've used for a couple years and glad I did, but having the closest, most comfortable way to look good, and not wake up my wife in the morning, is a privilege and luxury that is much appreciated. Glad this is this year's Father's Day gift. I'm lucky.
Pros: smooth close and comfortable
Cons: can't clean it yourself must let cleaning pod

This is only my second electric shaver as I have primarily used blades. My first was a Norelco which I liked, but, I thought I would upgrade when the 9000 series became available. I am glad I did as this product is a step above the previous shaver and shaves as close as the blade with no discomfort. It does take a bit longer to shave but the result is worth it.
Pros: convenient, close shave
Cons: takes longer than a blade

For the most part the razor performs flawlessly. My only problem with it is that sometimes some hairs that lay too flat against my skin do not get cut, and I still have to go back with a razor to clean them up.
Pros: quiet, battery life, smooth shave
Cons: misses some flat hair

Charge Time

Product is advertised as generating a 60 minute charge. The actual charge time started at 55 minutes and went down to 40 minutes after a few uses. Company says this is the nature of the product, but specifications on line still read 60 minute charge.
Cons: product doesn't live up to norelco standards.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
