At the beginning, the razor was rather coarse on the skin. I just needed a few days to adjust to the feel which was different from the others I had used.
I have been a Norelco user since late 1974. Prior to that, I primarily used blades; I could not get a smooth cut from electric razors. I always had styptic sticks available because I was constantly nicking my face with the blades.
There's very little you could offer me to get me to part with my razor.

This is my fourth NORELCO shaver, with my first coming in 1957. All have been excellent. This is the easiest to use and cuts well. I miss the pop-out trimmer of my last model, but thoroughly enjoy the shave of this model.
I received a tool with the razor for removing the heads, but cannot figure how it can work.
the directions say to lock it on some lugs, but I cannot find anything to catch with it. Other than that, it is a great machine.

The power of this razor is felt when you turn it on. It has strong torque and gives me a very close shave.
Pros: powerful motor, great shaves
Cons: hold it wrong and you turn it off while shaving, have to clean it daily

It took about a month for my face to get used to this electric shaver as it has been years since I have used one.
I usually shave while I am in the shower and with this shaver it is a breeze. I have shaved with this product without any prep at all and really got a pretty good shave however it does much better with some kind of facial lubricant.

I have owned several norelco shavers overy the years. The best was the arcitec. ...of which I can't get blades for ......and this 9000 is the worst.
